ALD Connect is a global non-profit dedicated to improving health outcomes for individuals affected by adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD)—a rare, progressive genetic disease that impacts the nervous system and adrenal glands. With a mission to empower patients, support families, connect researchers, and accelerate scientific breakthroughs, ALD Connect plays a crucial role in advocacy, education, and research funding for the ALD community.
Creating a website for a rare disease nonprofit requires more than just great design—it demands a deep understanding of multiple audience needs, seamless functionality, and a platform that can drive real-world impact. At Bubbly Consulting, we brought all of this together in a fully bespoke website.
We built the website from the ground up, ensuring it was:

To achieve this, we designed and developed a fully custom website tailored to ALD Connect’s mission, focusing on streamlined, engaging design, and accessible content. We integrated Bloomerang, a leading donor management system, and an events calendar. We created a searchable video resource library, allowing users to access educational content with ease, an cross-linked relevant videos to other areas of the site.
The new ALD Connect website has been a game-changer for the organisation, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from the ALD staff and community.
